Welcome to the Tuscan Association of Oregon!
Our next meeting is Sunday, April 24 when Joe Cavalli, history professor at Clark College in Vancouver, will talk about the Age of Immigration. This is the period when many of our forebears came to the United Stated from Europe. Join us at 3:30pm in the community room at 215 Oswego Summit in the Mountain Park section of Lake Oswego.
Please note that Angela Zagarella’s talk on Sicily, which was to have taken place in February, will be rescheduled for sometime this fall.
Holiday traditions!
Vincenzo Marcellino told us of Italian holiday traditions at our Dec. 19 meeting. Then we joined in a spirited rendition of carols before closing the meeting with a round of Tombola.

Hello again, Patrick. We’ve got a meeting coming up Sunday, March 18 at 3:00pm. Details are on the home page at OregonTuscans.com.
I’m a 32 year old with Italian roots from Perugia and I found through 23andMe I’m 35 Sicilian. I’ve also found many relatives through Facebook who live near Rome. It would be nice to connect with people interested in heritage and culture.
Ciao Anthony! If you’re in the Portland, Oregon area, there are several Italian organizations you can connect with. Of course, there’s ours, the Tuscan Association of Oregon … and you don’t have to be Tuscan to attend our gatherings. (By the way, our Feb. 20 meeting about Sicily was cancelled at the last minute. It should be rescheduled in the coming months — we’ll announce the new date here.) Our Links page connects to some of the other local Italian groups. And ItalianPortland.com is a good site which includes an events calandar to which a lot of the groups contribute.
